The computer needs constant updates on the drivers to keep the system running smoothly. With processors the same happens: they integrate the hardware part of the PC and need updates in the software part. Are you in doubt how to perform this update? So check out this tutorial and learn how to check and install Intel processor drivers.
It can be an Intel Pentium, Core i3, i5 or i7: upgrades are required to adjust bugs, crashes, security or even to have a more modern, and full of improvements, on your machine. To do this, there are two ways to check if an update is required on the Intel processors drivers and then install it on the Windows operating system computer. The first is by the PC settings and the second by means of the Intel Driver Update Utility, which is free.
Method 1: by computer
Step 1. On the computer, click the “Start” button and then go to “Control Panel”;
Step 2. In the window that opens, select the item “Device Manager”;
Step 3. A small window will appear with a listing of the features present on the computer. Find the “Processors” item and click it to display all cores. Right-click the first processor core option that appears. Then select “Update Driver”. The procedure must be done for all processors in the list;
Step 4. A window will display two options: “Automatically search for updated driver software” or “Browse for driver software on your computer.” The first option will search for a program on the official website and the second one is useful if you already have the driver downloaded on your computer;
Step 5. If you prefer to search for the driver, a search window will be displayed. Finally, if you already have the machine updated, a message will show: “The best processor software is already installed”. If it indicates a newer version, simply select and follow the default installation. Then restart the machine to complete the action.
